It's Sunday the 25th of June, and it's the first real working day on the zine project. I am standing in Svendborg in blazing sunshine, waiting for the ferry to take me to Ærø – to meet Astrid, who is the first person I will interview for the zine. Astrid is super cool. She works as a social worker, and then she has started a realllllly nice shop on Ærø, from which she sells beautiful stationery and accessories. She is a letterpress printer and she prints her own cards with lead type and print clichés.
We had a good talk about being a geek and being proud of it – and how good it feels to follow your dream.
